LLB (UNSW) 2023
In 2021 Laura Montague was elected as the Chair of the Arc Board at UNSW, one of the largest student organisations in Australia. A proud Barkindji woman, she is the first Indigenous woman to hold the position since Arc's establishment in 2006.
While pursuing her dual Bachelor of Arts and Law degree at UNSW, Montague actively contributed to the UNSW community. She served as a Residential Advisor at UNSW College Baxter, demonstrating her commitment to fostering a positive living and learning environment. Additionally, Montague was actively involved in Nura Gili and represented UNSW at the Indigenous Nationals. Through her multifaceted involvement and leadership, Laura Montague exemplifies a trailblazer in academia and Indigenous representation at UNSW.
