Kaylie Salvatori, a Saltwater Budawang (Yuin) Woman, is a landscape architect,Indigenous design strategist, educator, researcher and artist. She is the director of COLA (Country Oriented Landscape Architecture) Studio, which specialises in Indigenous design and Country centred landscape architecture. Kaylie’s work at COLA prioritises Traditional Owners and Indigenous knowledge holders in the design process and seeks to ‘facilitate the aspirations of community and amplify the voice of Country across designs’. With a background in fine arts and community development, Kaylie completed a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture at UNSW in 2018. She graduated with first class honours and was the recipient of the Harry Howard Prize. Kaylie also worked as a sessional tutor at UNSW and was instrumental in incorporating Indigenous knowledge and modes of learning into the fundamental studio courses at UNSW. Kaylie has won and been nominated for several national awards, including finalist nominations for Future Leader in the Sustainability Awards.
