Born in Sydney in 1974, Jane Saville is a four-time Olympian. She represented Australia at four consecutive Olympic Games (1996 - 2008) in both the 10km and 20km race walk and was the first woman to win an Olympic medal in race walking. Jane won a bronze medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics after her heartbreaking disqualification at the Sydney Olympics while leading the race 300m from the finish line. She has also won three gold medals at the Commonwealth Games. Jane Graduated from UNSW on 15 October 1996 with a Bachelor of Social Science and was inducted into the UNSW Hall of Fame in 2003. Since retiring from competition in 2009, Jane has resided in Spain where she works as an athletics coach and administrator. She is currently studying a Graduate Certificate in International Sport Management at the University of London.
