Two-time Paralympian and Australia’s first woman boccia medallist
At just 21, Jamieson Leeson is a two-time Paralympian, having competed in the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. She made history by winning a silver medal in boccia in the BC3 female individual event in Paris, becoming Australia’s first ever medallist in this event. Alongside her pairs partner, Dan Michel, the team secured Australia's best-ever boccia performance.
Jamieson has had a remarkable ascent in the sport. In 2022, she won the gold medal in pairs and silver in individuals at the World Boccia Championships and has reached as high as world number two boccia player. Jamieson is a boccia ambassador wanting to create her own club in the future.
It's not only on the court Jamieson excels. In her academic studies, she is maintaining a Distinction average in her Economics degree at UNSW.
