On 4 May 1960, Diane became the second woman to graduate with a Bachelor of Architecture from UNSW. Aged just 23 Diane and her husband James Kell designed the award-winning Sydney County Council building opposite Sydney Town Hall. Diane moved into journalism after the birth of her two children and became editor of the highly regarded architecture magazine ‘Constructional Review’.
